About The Opportunity
Are you that person who always knows everything that's happening in your city? From the latest gallery openings, the low-key influencers, the undercover dealmakers and the best places that the most influential in society frequent? Have you told or want to tell more of these stories in a digital setting?
Inner Circle is working with a media brand that gives you the opportunity to bring those stories to life and cover some of the movers and shakers, most influential people, and interesting and new projects going on in your city. This could be anywhere from Lagos, Nigeria, to Accra, Ghana, to Abidjan, Côte d'Ivoire. Editorially sharp, visually driven, and deeply rooted in context. This is a rare opportunity to define the voice of a media brand — and shape how a new generation sees itself and the world around it.
This role is not just for writers or journalists, but for anyone who has their ear to the ground and loves telling a story and bringing it to life online.
What You’ll Do
Pitch 5-8 story ideas during monthly pitch meeting, each pitched in a single paragraph, prioritizing angles where you already have a relationship with the talent
Develop approved concepts with the assistance of the in-house team
Source your friends and associates to feature on platform
(Optional or where necessary) Attend content shoots.
Write the final article associated with the stories you pitch
Who You Are
A writer, content enthusiast or storyteller with a distinct voice and experience in media, culture, or lifestyle content
Comfortable owning a story end to end, from pitch through to final draft
Existing relationships within fashion, business, culture, or society circles are an advantage
Able to work independently within a defined, fast-moving editorial process
Confident collaborating with a wider production and social team via Slack and WhatsApp
Available for the full arc of a story, from concept through to shoot day, across a two to three week window
